Where is your office located?
I offer telehealth sessions (video therapy) utilizing a secured and HIPPA compliant platform from the comfort of your home or office. I also offer face to face walk and talk sessions on select Fridays upon prior arrangement.
How long is a typical session?
Sessions are typically 45-55 minutes. Longer sessions can be arranged with an advanced notice.
What is your hourly fee?
My hourly fees are $300 for the initial intake and $250 per individual session (phone/ video session).
How do I pay?
Check, credit card, health saving account, or cash.
What do I do to get started?
I offer a 20-minute complimentary phone or video consultation to allow you to gather all the information you need prior to scheduling and to make sure I can be of help.
If you then determine that you want to schedule an appointment, you will be instructed to register as a new client on my patient portal system. You can do this directly at: https://drinbaryoung.SecurePatientArea.com
All paperwork is completed electronically prior to your first appointment; so when you come in, we can focus on the things that are important to you and leave bureaucracy behind.
What is the best way to reach you?
You can call me at (858) 779-0114, send me a message, or schedule a consultation using the below button.
Please indicate your name, phone number, and best time to reach you.
Do you work with insurance?
I am considered an out-of-network provider with all insurance carriers.
Please call your insurance carrier PRIOR to your first appointment to see if you have out-of-network benefits.
You will get a detailed receipt at the end of each session that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
If you are interested in video sessions, please check with your insurance carrier prior to your first appointment for any out-of-network telehealth benefits (video sessions).
If you have a Health Saving Account, all sessions can be used as a medical expense, which is tax deductible.
Do you offer Video Therapy?
Yes. I am licensed in both California and Ohio.
For more information about video sessions, please visit the link HERE.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Since the scheduling of an appointment involves the reservation of time specifically for you, a minimum of 24-hours’ (one day) notice is required for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment.
Unless we reach a different agreement, the full fee will be charged for sessions missed without such notification.
With whom do you not work?
I don’t see anyone under 18 years of age.
I don’t offer couples counseling but will be happy to assist with a proper referral.
I do, occasionally, invite a family member to join a session on as-needed basis if we both deem it necessary to the progression of your individual goals.
I don’t see anyone who is in an active state of addiction or an eating disorder. I do see many people with a history of addictions for which they have already received treatment. I like to coordinate care with prior providers in those circumstances.
Can I text you or email you?
Email or texting can be easily accessed by unauthorized people and hence jeopardize your privacy.
You are encouraged to use the secured and HIPPA-compliant patient portal for messaging, scheduling, and completing paperwork.
Texts are usually used to let me know when you have arrived at a session or when running late to a session.
Please know that by using texts or emails you are waiving your right for privacy.
How often do I need to come to therapy?
This will be something we will discuss together.
It usually depends on current level of functioning and your individual goals.
Many of my clients choose to have weekly sessions at the beginning of therapy, and then move to biweekly appointments.
Does coming to therapy mean that I’m broken?
Absolutely not. As human beings, we all experience pain.
It requires tremendous strength to recognize that you need help and to do something about it.
I have had therapy myself multiple times over the years and can talk on and on about all the gifts it can offer.
You are not alone.
